Can I use Dr. Scholls shoe inserts on TOMS?

I am thinking of buying another pair of TOMS because the ones I have wreak and stink horribly! (embarrassing i know) However I was thinking of just buying shoe inserts and then that way I can just replace those whenever they smell instead of ruining a pair of shoes. Can or should I do that?
