Emergency contraception causing herpes outbreak?

So I have had only one outbreak of genital hsv1. That was two years ago. A few weeks ago I had to take next choice emergency contraception and boy did it wreak havoc on my body this time. I took it before I ovulated and a week later I started spotting and I happen to notice a bump down there. Not painful and went down fast so I didn't think anything of it, thought It was a clogged pore or what not. Maybe 4 or 5 days after I notice two more in the same general area. Still wasn't really painful but over the past couple of days its been really itchy and now it freakin hurts. That feelin that you never forget is back. I was researching causes of recurrences and came across an article about hormones bringing on an attack although this one is milder. Since ec is a huge dose of progesterone that screws up your system in a major way I can see this being the reason. I was hoping I would be one of those people it never happened to again. Has this ever happened to anyone else??
