Spiritually speaking, what if the moon isn't really a moon but a slow moving wreaking ball?

Back when is was called Theia, is did a decent job, but it doesn't look like it will come around for a second pass. It's just swinging around on in funny circular-like motion. Apparently, it wasn't quite up to the job.
