Puncture wound in the knee from a metal spike, didnt bleed?

i did it at work, went through pant leg and i know instantly i did something. i look at it and its a hole a little bigger than the eraser of a pencil. i put a band aid on it and at the end of the day it hardly bled at all, and it hasn't scabbed over. is that normal or should i be worried? Also it never really ever hurt that bad, just a little sore. thanks for any advice!

Then my dream ended n i was mad cuz it felt so real.

Do you think cable news makes people dumber? Why or why not?

I tend to believe channels like Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, and the like are destroying any sense of civil, intelligent political discourse in this country. I mean I believe it's important that the American people have easy access to up to date information but I wonder if cable news is worth the trouble it wreaks. News these days is just generally irresponsible. My complaint isn't that the news is too biased. In fact, in most cases I would argue that it isn't biased enough. Or at least in the sense that journalists don't discriminate anymore. The job of a journalist is not simply to deliver information to people. It's about discerning what is and isn't important for people to know. Today cable news channels assume they have to represent every idea no matter how discredited out of some misguided need to be perceived as "Fair and Balanced". Journalism can be fair with out giving credence to all views. They care far too much what we think and not nearly enough what qualified experts think. Its just a bunch of hacks spouting bull$hit and asking us what we think. What do you guys think. Do you ever watch the news and just want to bury your face in your palm?

My computer is completely wiped out?

I had accedentally downloaded a virus and wreaked the computer and then used the last known configuration method that worked option and then I wrecked that too because I didn't delete the file when I had the chance.I used roxio start up thing which restores the computer to another date,I had two options and I picked the farthest date back and now my computer doesn't even have a damn start button or the little bar thingy at the bottom,so I tried to copy the enternet explorer to my mp3 player and tryed to get it to open up after I pluged it into my laptop it would say on the mp3 that it was pluged in but the box thingy for the mp3 player didn't show up.the computer does this everytime I try to use it.I want it to work,does anyone know how to fix it?

How bad does getting a tattoo on your shoulder hurt?

That is a hard question to answer mainly because everyone has their own pain tollerance. Myself i always heard that getting a tattoo on the inside of your bicep hurts really really bad but for me it didnt hurt worse than the one on my shoulder. The only one that hurt and i had to take a few breaks because i was turning pale white was the one on my leg for some reason and i even ate before hand. Also thats another thing make sure you eat before you go if this is your first tattoo some places wont even tattoo you if you tell them you havent eaten recently. But it depends on the person it might hurt you a lot then again it might just feel like nothing at all. Good luck hope it turns out good for you.

I am a Christian. That is, I believe in Jesus as the son of god and my redeemer/connection to god. But the Bible seems limited in its description of god and the universe. I feel in my heart that there is more meaning and life. Wicca fills in these gaps for me by giving a multitude of different faces to my God, and adding color and depth to the world around me. The sterile and monochrome images of God and life, provided by the christian churches, wreak havoc on my spirit and mind. But, Wicca soothes me. It is a more natural view of God and the world. I believe that God is both male and female, and that he/she is all around me and in me. After all, our reality is a manifestation of her/his words, so wouldn't everything around us and in us be messages from God? The Bible was written by so many different people with their own personal and political agendas. Each person has a limited view of our world. And when they put their view into words, well, words alone are limited in their ability to convey feelings, emotions, and spiritual vibes. The Holy Spirit is my guide. Jesus has bridged the great gap for me. Now, I see things in the Bible that do not ring true in my heart. I need more life and more nature, something living. Anyway, i've encountered this problem on some systems with heating errors on the graphics card. Anyway, the problem lies with the graphics card. Try swapping it if possible, or return your system to the manufacturer and have them repair it. I would pick the manufacturer, as you don't want to void any warranty.

My boyfriend and I have been together for 3 years. well there was this one time like 2 years ago that he was working in the middle of no where in another city and one day he said he didn't feel good and that he had really bad stomach pains and he couldn't stand the pain anymore. But every since that one time I freak out like crazy. Last christmas a few days before, his phone had broke so I had no way of getting a hold of him, unless he called me from a friends phone or something... well I remember I told him the day before to be at my house at 3 pm. 3 o'clock came and went and there was still no sign of him and it's not like I could of called him to see where he was at.. I ran to my room and cried and I felt worried sick. Again, I thought something bad had happened to him. but he finally showed up and I felt 100 percent better. it still happens to me. Dealing with a Motherless Daughter?

Will try to make this short. My stepdaughter of 4 years hasn't had much contact with her mother at all. Months and months will pass without contact. Well, now, Mommy has decided to make a grand re-entry, and my lovable stepdaughter is wreaking havoc. Mommy says that she doesn't have to tell her dad (my DH) what goes on when SD is wiht Mommy. This wouldn't be a problem, except for Mommy has a bad habit of lying and blaming her problems on us. SD comes home from a brief visit and hates us. She talks to Mommy on the phone and suddenly she no longer has to tell us what's bothering her or why she's so angry. All respect has gone out of the window. I hate that her mother puts her into these situations and manipulates her so easily, but our little one is really starting to worry us now (she's only ten). We find her going through our cell phones, etc. Wouldn't be a big deal, except we don't want SD to see nasty texts her Mom has been known to send (keep the kids, I don't want them, etc.) Seems like the more we try to help SD open up, the angrier she gets and the more she lies to us to cover for her Mom. Stationary bike: Bad for your balls?

So i regularly workout by going to the gym and weightlifting for about 2 hours and then cardio for about 40 to 60 mins. Well whenever i have to do cardio i do about half that time on the treadmill and the other half on the stationary bike. He definitely likes you. The thing that most girls really don't get is that it means something totally different to men. I am just being honest with you. My boyfriend and I have been together for 3 years. well there was this one time like 2 years ago that he was working in the middle of no where in another city and one day he said he didn't feel good and that he had really bad stomach pains and he couldn't stand the pain anymore. So for years I've only felt comfortable in jeans. I'm fairly over weight, and have never thought I'd look good in anything that shows off much. i have rumination syndrome and its wreaking havoc on my teeth. whenever i eat something i ruminate and i can't stop! it goes on for like up to 2 hours after a meal. even now as i type i'm ruminating the meal i ate an hour ago. yes its gross i know!! anyone have any suggestions?

Fasten 4x4 steel posts to concrete wall?

Hi, one side of my property faces an abandoned house, and I am tired of bums jumping the small cement wall (about three feet high) and wreaking havoc in my back yard. They have stolen my water heater, ripped out the cables for my stove, and stolen hundreds of dollars in materials. I would like to put up a fence that increases the height of that fence by about 10 feet, but I don't want to take down the fence that is there now. It's poured cement, not block. Does anyone know of a way to anchor 10x4x4 steel posts to that existing fence so that I can build a sturdy, solid steel fence that won't blow down in the next hurricane? Thanks!

So my friend (who is a EMT) asked to look at my feet. He said they felt like ice.. I lifted my legs and started to feel etreemly nasious, my vision slowly dissapered. The next thing I know im on the floor with a killer headache (i hit the desk) and my tounge is in major pain. I felt very confused because when I passed out I kinda had a dream but I cannot remember it... My friend said that my eyes had rolled back and I smaked my head on the desk and fell to the ground letting out strange noises and continued to shake shoulders and arms. He thinks o had a seizur but my dr says it was a fainting spell... Only thong is I didnt feel like it was jist a fainting spell. Afterwards I took my temp and the thermomedor read 95.3. I also had a very bad headache that i decribed as a numb hat, and backpain. Anyone have any ideas?

From your description of yourself I can only imagine an incredibly beautiful person that doesn't need this much make-up everyday. A more relaxed look would be fine where only eyeliner, mascara and lip gloss are used would be fine. On a regular basis I wear little black mascara and white eye shadow (I'm very pale and blonde with ice blue eyes) and a shimmery pink lip gloss. Tampon help! I can't put them in..?

Please help me! I've been trying to put a tampon in forever, I know the right 'hole', it's just I can't get it in. What should i offer for this bike?

its a 1997 cbr 600f3 with 38,420 miles. its been dumped. the front faring is red and the rear faring around the seat is primer gray (replacement) there's scars on the right side from the wreak. it hasn't been started since 2009. he is asking 900 and there's no way possible its worth that much. i am looking for a fixer-upper. its kind of a hobby to work on bikes like this but im not sure what to offer. i know how much replacement faring kits are. and im not afraid of putting a little money in it. i ran a car fax on it and its on a salvage tittle but he said the tittle was "replaced" with a clean one. i really don't care if its a salvage tittle or not. what would you offer if you were in my shoes?

Okay, I am currently working on a manga/comic book and I've been struggling to find a good, strong plot line. So far what I've been working with is that there are people called "Dream Catchers" whose goal it is to eliminate "Nightmares", which begin as dreams but feed off terror and are eventually able to grow strong enough to take on the form of a human that will then wreak havoc in the real world, and it's the Dreams Catcher's job to keep them at bay. Please be brutally honest with me, do you think this is a good idea? I really need a second opinion. Also, if possible could you give me some tips for improvement?

Tips for person wanting to be a comic book artist?

I actually asked the same thing not too long ago. I've been coming (or at least trying) up with a series since I was 12, I'm 21 now. I've had at least 2-3 really good/creative ones, but died out over time when I had to focus on work/school, so now i'm trying to get back into it. The best advice I could give you from my experience, BE ORIGINAL, yet good. The one thing I hate is people just do the same BS over n over. Don't get me wrong, it's ok to have strong influences from certain stories, but try to make it something uniquely yours. If you're dead serious about getting the right art supplies, there are professional kits ranging in prices, it depends, look it up. They usually have everything from pen, basic drawing pencils, shading pencils...ect. I think the trickiest part is getting decent colors. As for publishing I'm not sure. I heard Akira Toriyama (creator of dragonball (z)) got big/noticed after winning a contest when he submitted his comics/drawing he made as a hobby and from there started getting his stuff published from there. I'm not too professional myself, so this is all I can tell ya, hope I helped

I get so anxious when my sister in law pops up with her 5 kids. First of all my house is tiny so adding 6 people in here already makes me anxious. Then her kids start arguing and yelling at each other, hitting each other, throwing my daughters toys everywhere. The older boys and the 6 year old girl will sit on toys meant for a baby.The almost 4 year old twins are left totally unsupervised since their mother sends them to my daughters room where they wreak havoc. Their mother is totally oblivious to all the screaming, running, crying, tantrums, toy throwing, etc. Friday me and my family went to Big Boys with them for her oldest sons birthday. She was totally ignoring their screaming, they kept getting up and walking around, climbing under tables. One of the 4 year olds wandered off and her mom didn't notice right away. My hubby's mom starts screaming at the 6year old and the whole time MY husband is trying to get the kids to stop acting like hooligans and to get his mom to stop screaming, while the kids mother is ignoring everything. We ran I don't know how many people out of the restaurant. I get so anxious and I feel like I've lost all control when she brings them all around. The messed up part is when their mom is not with them they do whatever we tell them to do. What do you do when the person you are with will not discipline their maniacal children especially in a public place? They aren't my kids to be worrying about.

House trained Puppy reverts in a bad way?

I have a major problem on my hands. After hard work with my girlfriend and myself we had managed to pretty much fully potty train our puppy to use the backyard. Then we sodded the backyard because of the disarray it was in (unrelated to the puppy) so both our dogs can't use that area anymore. We take them on outdoor walks now and expected a day or two of a learning curve but nothing like this. Now our puppy will pee in the house on a very regular basis, he manages to go outside but he also makes sure to pee plenty of times inside for us. We actually take him out more with the leash than when we let him out in the backyard. Punishing him doesn't seem to be working and he actually pees everytime you punish him (an extremely submissive dog). We praise him when he uses the potty outside but he doesn't seem to be connecting the dots. The backyard won't take for another 10 days or so, any suggestions! The house wreaks of pee and we are at our wits end.

Why do Cancer patients smell like death?

I know, I've had a similar experience in a close friends room about 3 days before he died. It's because a part of them is dying - they are rotting right before your eyes. Worse yet they are rotting from cancer and it smells horrible, and when it gets bad enough there isn't a damned thing they can do about the smell. Doubly horrible is the fact the poor girl you sat next to could smell it too, and knew exactly where the smell came from. Awful!!

Why did me so called friend lie to me about my brother?

Me and my brother don't talk anymore (live apart) but I needed to tell him something about a relative which was really important. When I mentioned needing to speak to my brother to a good friend of mine she said she hasn't seen him for years and he wouldn't be bothered about it anyway. I asked her why and she says, well that's Connor for you. I added him on facebook to talk to him, it came up with a list of mutual friends and things I have in common with him and my friend was a mutual friend. I asked them both about my brother and they said they haven't seen him for years like she said before and that he's bad news and that I should stay away from him and that any sane person would keep distance. I reminded them that im his sister and they just laughed and changed the subject. Should I be mad at them. What should I do??

Help on the Butchering of Parasite Eggs???....?

I have recently gotten over a combination of a stomach flu and a bacterial stomach infection. There was a little suspicion that there may have been parasitic involvement as well and alas, that suspicion was correct. Today I ejected what looked like a worm via bowel movement, I suspect it was dead due to lack of movement for the most part, and my stomach feels back to normal now. This however leaves me worried that there may be parasite eggs lurking in me, waiting to wreak havoc on my system once more. Any advice on ways to get rid of them?

I'm trying to assert my dominance over my liver by punishing it, but I need some guidance. If I were to binge drink (10 vodka shots or more within a short period of time -- usually to the point of blacking out, vomiting, or both) twice a week for 10 years, would that be good enough to wreak significant havoc on my liver? Or does it need to be more like three or four times a week? Any other tips are appreciated. Thanks!

I think i have a blister on my thumb?

I have this tiny littler circle on my thumb. Like the size of a pencil tip. At first I thought it was a splinter because it hurt like one. But I tried poking at it with one of those eye braw clipper things. And it was still there. Two days later I got another one on the same thumb. :'( I don't know what it is. I asked my mom and she said its fungus but I googled it and it said something about a blister. The thing on my thumb also looks like a splinter because it has a brown looking spot on it. Why did i enjoy seeing people wreak havoc?

normally im a peaceful and well mannered person. but when i was at the canucks riot, i saw cars burning, fights, people breaking glass,blood, riot police, and many other things. i didnt breaky anything, hurt anybody, or stole anything. i just stood and looked with a smile. for some reason i enjoyed the riot. the adrenaline, the noise, and the crowds of people clashing into riot shields. looking back at it now, i feel ashamed of myself. i should have known better than to cheer on the chaos and destruction. why did i enjoy the riot? even though i knew, deep down inside, it was wrong.

Did I have a Tonic-Clonic Seizure?

Hey everyone! So the past week I have been stressed and emotionaly a wreak... Okay so I noticed on sunday night when I get into bed that my feet hurt real bad, feels like mucle soreness maybe.. I figured it had been from walking. So come tues night im with a friend and feel fine no worries or stess at that point in time... Then my feet begin to feel (to me) like they had a super fever to my touch, they where burning in numbness, they looked kinda purple and slightly swollen. So my friend (who is a EMT) asked to look at my feet. He said they felt like ice.. I lifted my legs and started to feel etreemly nasious, my vision slowly dissapered. The next thing I know im on the floor with a killer headache (i hit the desk) and my tounge is in major pain. I felt very confused because when I passed out I kinda had a dream but I cannot remember it... My friend said that my eyes had rolled back and I smaked my head on the desk and fell to the ground letting out strange noises and continued to shake shoulders and arms. He thinks i had a seizure but my Dr. says it was a fainting spell... Only thing is I didnt feel like it was just a fainting spell. Afterwards I took my temp and the thermometer read 95.3. I also had a very bad headache that i decribed as a numb hat, and backpain. Anyone have any ideas?

How can I access my windows files?

I had a virus and it would not let me access my windows files and wreaked havoc on my comp. I finally removed all of it but I still can't access my files. When I go to my computer/c:, there is a file called "Bootsect.bak". Am I really suffering from OCD?

When I usually touch something my mind says wash your hands and I do. When I see something is not straight I make it straight. When I see people coughing I try to avoid them and not get really near their mouth. Also in bathrooms I use my shirt to open the door. When I touch like dirt or objects I put also put hand sanitizer. Sometimes I have endless unwanted thoughts. Most of this stuff had happened since I was a little kid. I never had pencils unsharpened I always needed them sharp.
